Validate your molds before production with Auray Plast
At Auray Plast, we put our expertise and equipment at your service to validate your plastic injection molds before they go into production. This essential step enables us to check part conformity, optimize injection parameters and anticipate any defects or adjustments required. Our aim: to guarantee reliable, high-performance production with no surprises.
Why test molds?
Injection mold testing is a key phase in the manufacturing process. It enables us to :
Ensure parts comply with technical specifications and quality requirements.
Detect and correct potential defects (shrinkage, burrs, deformations, bubbles, weld lines, etc.).
Optimize injection parameters to guarantee production stability and regularity.
Minimize production costs, by limiting scrap, machine downtime and corrective action.
Facilitate efficient industrialization by validating each step before series production.

What is the testing process at Auray Plast?

1. Analysis of mold and specifications
Before any trial run, we carry out a thorough inspection of the mold: checking the cavities, the injection and ejection system, and compliance with the mold plan. This step enables us to validate that the tooling has been properly produced in line with the specifications.

2. Determining the ideal setting
Our technicians set the press parameters according to the thermoplastic material used, temperature, pressure and cycle time. The aim is to ensure consistent, reproducible injection, while minimizing the risk of defects.

3. Validation of setting robustness
We carry out long-run tests on our injection molding machines, simulating actual production conditions. Injected parts are analyzed to detect any anomalies: shrinkage, burrs, deformations or other design faults.
4. Mold adjustments and optimization
If necessary, we make recommendations for mold adjustment. This phase optimizes the quality of the parts produced and ensures the durability of the tooling.
5. Validation and quality control
Once the setting has been determined, we validate the process setup by checking that the parts meet the quality and dimensional requirements.
6. Test report and recommendations
At the end of the tests, we provide a detailed technical report including injection parameters, observations, and recommendations for optimizing the mold before it goes into production.
